Go on a family walk. Get your friends together for a bike ride. Bring your camera and capture the mighty bald eagles during nesting season. These are just some of the many activities that you could enjoy on the North Idaho Centennial Trail.

This magnificent trail is a multi-use recreational trail system, that meanders for 24 miles from the Idaho/Washington state line to Higgens Point on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. We look forward to seeing you out on the trail.

Current & Upcoming Projects 2016

Bridge Painting

We have met with the cities of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and the County to make this project happen.  We are happy to announce that the bridge painting is completed as of late September 2016. Assure Painting took on the challenge of painting the bridge and installing North Idaho Centennial Trail across the span of the bridge over the Spokane River and it looks great.

Sealcoating of the Trail

The North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation maintains the health of the trail.  In January of 2017 we will be submitting a grant in conjunction with Kootenai County for applying a sealcoat to the Trail and seal the cracks that run through the trail.  Every 5-6 years we repeat this process.

The Prairie Trail Exension

It is a goal of the North Idaho Centennial Trail Foundation to extend the Prairie Trail to Meyer Rd. We will continue to work toward this task.  Every mile of trail has an approximate cost of $175,000. Please become a trail supporter to help us attain this goal.
